OMAR SYOURI

Hi, I’m Omar Syouri — owner of Urban Hair in Chicago’s South Loop. I founded Urban Hair in 2019 at the age of 22 with one goal: to create a welcoming space where clients feel confident, cared for, and at home.

I began cutting hair in 2012 and over the years have specialized in precision shear cutting, styling, and clipper work for all hair types and textures. My passion has always been blending style with professionalism, and I’m proud to serve a community that values both.

If you’ve already been in my chair, thank you for trusting me. If we haven’t met yet, I look forward to the opportunity to show you why so many of our clients keep coming back.

NALLAH

If you’ve ever stepped into Urban Hair, chances are you’ve already met Nallah — our four-year-old shop greeter and unofficial mascot. Born on July 4th, this mixed-breed sweetheart has been with us almost every day, making sure everyone feels welcome from the moment they walk in.

Whether she’s wagging her tail at the door, lounging by your chair, or quietly keeping you company during your cut, Nallah is part of what makes Urban Hair feel like home.

Gentle and friendly, she loves meeting new people and has a special way of putting clients at ease — especially first-timers. So don’t be surprised if you leave not only with a fresh cut, but also with a new four-legged friend. 🐾
