Hi, I’m Omar Syouri, owner of Urban Hair in Chicago’s South Loop. I started this shop in 2019 at the age of 22 with one goal—to create a welcoming space where clients feel confident and cared for. I started cutting hair in 2012; over the years I’ve specialized in precision shear cutting, styling, and clipper work on all ethnicities and I’m proud to serve a community that values both style and professionalism.

If you’ve ever stepped into Urban Hair, chances are you’ve already met **Nallah** — our four-year-old mixed breed born on July 4th and unofficial shop greeter. She’s here almost every day, making sure everyone feels welcome the second they walk in. Whether she’s wagging her tail at the door, lounging by your chair, or quietly keeping you company during your cut, Nallah is part of what makes our shop feel like home.
She’s gentle, loves meeting new people, and has a special way of putting clients at ease—especially first-timers. So when you come by for your next haircut, don’t be surprised if you leave with a fresh cut *and* a new four-legged friend.

Appointment Policy

We ask that you please respect each others time and availability. Therefore any No-Show appointments will be charged 100% service charge. Unexpected events can occur so to avoid being charged please communicate with your barber. Thank you.
